Tartan Invasion.

Maybe the hottest trend of the season about to come, following the grunge/punk revisited ones. Scottish, traditional, ethnic and very trans formative, tartan becomes the ultimate must for both men and women this fall with more than a dozen designers re-introducing it in fancy, updated and mostly high-end ways.
Issey Miyake's color blocks meet Fausto Puglisi's embellishments and stripes. Hedi Slimane takes the school uniform to a next level, while Lagerfeld does for Chanel "couture" ready-to-wear with Scottish references and tons of fabric creating the ultimate cozy atmosphere for a warm winter ahead. Stella McCartney revisits the power suit forms of the 80s while Dolce & Gabbana use plaid in a very modern way for some of the most lavish and desired coats of the season. Moschino mixes the tartans and adds pops of colors and a few embellishments making a statement about going forward with what you already got, and that my friends is tradition that has always been and will always be a huge drive for creative spirits of this make-do andmend industry..
