#Movie: Xavier Dolan's divine films.

It was not until the beginning of last month that I got to discover Xavier Dolan, the mega mind behind a      series of films that captivated all my senses and influenced me to a point I cannot even tell. My love for visually satisfying movies is well known.. so in my search for something alternative yet not pointless got me to the Canadian Xavier, a young creator who acts in movies that he produces, writes, directs and edits. Being a fashion lover, he does the styling (costume designing) as well, and as a soon to be stylist I must admit he is simply extraordinary! Before I get to speak about what made me like his work, I have to say that I fell madly in love with him (and I'm blushing) and then the "stripe thing", which I'm sure you all are going to notice (in J'ai tue ma mere), drove me crazy to a point where I was searching the stores for the ultimate loose striped t-shirt. And while there is nothing negative I can say about what I've seen so far, I'm sure he'd appreciate a tip or a critique a tad more constructive than my flattering groopy words. So my tip would be.. do exactly what you're doing cause it's working!

Xavier Dolan
(I know.. he is to die for!)
A few things that I loved (as if I can count them) were:
-He is working with specific actors/ses for most of his movies, which might seem weird and kind of wrong but it is in fact so mind blowing, because they are talented enough to become this completely different character and then again you feel a strange familiarity because you've seen them before!
-The sets, the images, the music, everything is exquisite! They neighbors are bored of listening to Noir Desir and Bang Bang!!
-You get so emotionally attached to the characters and their story that I felt nostalgic after each movie ended. I was literally sad and unable to let go (maybe I'm just weird).
-A great way to revision ones French! !

..and I could go on and on but let's not make this more personal (hehe).

I won't get to talk for each movie in particular (I'd have to write like 16 pages for each one) so I'm only posting the summuries via IMDB . Do watch them... and enjoy!!
p.s I watched all three of them in 24h.

Yours,
Leo
